Time and Tide: Meditatons on the shore
Exhibition
Rose Eastwood is an Irish visual artist based in Ballina, NSW, Australia whose evocative landscape paintings explore the liminal spaces of her surrounding coastal environment. With a moody, atmospheric sensibility, she captures the interplay of light, land, and water.
"Time and Tide: Meditations Along the Shore" is a series of acrylic paintings that immortalise the ever shifting coastline of Northern NSW. Her work lingers in the uncanny threshold between the familiar and the mysterious, where sea, sky, and sand merge in quiet drama inviting viewers to contemplate the fleeting nature of place.
Time and Tide is a meditation on impermanence—a study of how life succumbs to change. She highlights where the ocean’s energy meets the land, each being reshaped by each other endlessly. Every scene is a snapshot of an unfolding story, encapsulating the beauty of what will always wash away.
