Hi, my name is Rose and I am a painter, graphic designer, photographer and visual artist.
I love to paint and specialise in landscapes in acrylic and abstract works, although I will work with any subject and medium that inspires me.

Time and Tide: Meditatons on the shore
Time and Tide is a meditation on impermanence, of how life succumbs to change. She highlights where the ocean’s energy meets the land, each being reshaped by each other endlessly. Every scene is a snapshot of an unfolding story, encapsulating the beauty and mystery of what will always wash away.
The Doyles Art Award Finalist: Lighthouse Beach
Since moving to Ballina, I’ve painted my local beaches, but Lighthouse Beach is my favourite, a wild yet sheltered place where bushland meets surf. This piece captures dusk’s long shadows stretching as the last wanderer crosses the sand. Day tipping into night, sea blurring into land, cliffs resisting the tide. Driftwood marks the spring tide’s reach, a reminder of how the ocean reclaims this space.

Rose Eastwood is an Irish visual artist based in Ballina, NSW, Australia whose evocative landscape paintings explore the liminal spaces of her surrounding coastal environment. With a moody, atmospheric sensibility, she captures the interplay of light, land, and water. Her work lingers in the uncanny threshold between the familiar and the mysterious, where sea, sky, and sand merge in quiet drama inviting viewers to contemplate the fleeting nature of place.
Midleton Arts Festival Emerging Artist 2025
"Rose Eastwood is a dynamic young Irish Australian artist who exhibited as part of our “Young Artist Focus” in Midleton Arts Festival this year. Her works mainly seascapes in acrylic have a dynamic focus and impact making one almost feel the sea when looking at the work. This arises from her love of the sea which she infuses in her works with. A daily swimmer and also a “wild swimmer” she has the rare talent of combining her love of life in her work which is a unique talent for any artist to have most especially in one so young. One hopes that this talented young artist can continue to grow and develop her artistic talents in the future."
